21st November – The day British Natural History Museum announce the "Piltdown Man" is a hoax

Games Played:

In 1953 on November 21st, the authorities at the British Natural History Museum announce the "Piltdown Man" skull, one of the most famous fossil skulls in the world, is a hoax.

Previously in time, in 1783, Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and Marquis d'Arlandes make the 1st manned free balloon flight in a Montgolfier balloon.

Hmm. Coincidence? This author thinks not!

As to the games, a good crop. The number seems to be increasing each week, as do the numbers of members turning up. Keep up the good work guys.

A noticeable absence this week. No ‘Brass: Birmingham’ this week. Replaced by ‘Crystal Palace’ perhaps.

DON’T FORGET:

Silly games night on 19th December.

FGC in 2020

The FGC will return on January 2nd 2020.

(Yes, I know! The dates this time are just awkward.)
