On this day in 1797 the last invasion of the UK took place.
An invasion force of 1400 French soldiers, in support of the Society of United Irishmen, was beaten off by 500 English reservists at Fishguard. So, Brexit is actually a VERY old concept that has been fought over for centuries. At least, we no-longer use guns!
An interesting list, not least ‘Wingspan’. A well designed visually appealing gentle game, very far in experience from the razors edge games I’ve been used to recently. Does it live up to the hype? No, but I’d play it again if I didn’t fancy a brain burner.
