FYI, some members last night had issues with our 'SumUp' card payment device.

We have now found out why.

It was definitely THEM and not your cards etc., so no need to check anything from your side.

In a nutshell, we breached their Money Laundering Regulation Limit so they sent us a form to complete and locked the account.

Of course, they could have warned us and sent the form as we APPROACHED the limit, but no, just stop the account and THEN send the form.🤦

Needless to say, the form will get completed and signed ASAP, but goodness knows how long it will take for their systems to process it.

So, for at least next week, please bring cash. (Yes, I know this is a bind for many of you, but there is nothing we can do.😞)

As Silly Games Night is on the 18th Dec ( technically an EGM and therefore free to all members), we can only hope SumUp payments will have been reinstated by the time we are back in the new year on 8th Jan 2026.
