Data from BoardGameGeek
Warhammer Quest is a dungeon adventure game set in the Warhammer World. You play the part of a brave Warrior who ventures into dangerous dungeons, creepy caverns, terror-filled tunnels, evil catacombs, or haunted ruins in search of fortune and glory!

Although solo play and 5+ players are also possible, the Warhammer Quest box lists 2-4 players. The game is arguably best played with 4 players, each controlling one of the four main Warriors. The odds of surviving the lower levels are slim to none as the odds heavily favor the denizens of the dungeons.

In the basic rules, the players explore randomly generated dungeons, encounter randomly generated events & battle against randomly generated monsters.

Among other things, the advanced rules allow characters to increase in Battle-Level which increases statistics and offers new skills & abilities. The advanced game also features a 5th player; the Gamemaster, who controls the dungeon layout, events, monsters, etc..

Expansion sets to the main game were available and included new board sections, adventures, new characters, events, treasures, and the like.
